Job Summary

These direct care positions are primarily in our Adult and Children's Residential program and support individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. The people supported in these departments may also have behavioral and psychological issues; therefore prior experience is preferred. This position works as part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of the people supported.

A variety of full time and part time work schedules are available, for 2nd or 3rd shifts, which could include Mon - Fri and weekend hours. These positions have a pay range of $11.56 - $13.66 per hour.

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma/GED required. Previous experience supporting people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and behavioral and psychological issues preferred. Must also be 18 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, and pre-employment physical and drug screenings. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and to implement proper restraint techniques to ensure person's served health and safety. Two weeks of paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive pay & benefits. Tuition reimbursement offered.
