The Arc has part time schedules available and normally that is all you need to work . Extra work hours may be available if desired - but no pressure! The only other additional time commitment is the need to attend our initial New Hire Training which is M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm for two weeks and one day; ongoing re-certification training necessary to maintain your position, and occasional meetings. These direct care career opportunities will provide support to individuals with disabilities to live/work as independently as possible in a variety of settings by assisting them in developing new skills to reach their goals. We have openings in our Adult Residential Programs that include openings for CNA's ; and in our Personal Support Program. These positions work as part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of the persons served.

Work hours for these Part Time and PRN (fill-In) positions are primarily afternoons into evenings, and weekend hours. Overnight (including sleep overnight) shifts are also available. We also have a few early morning schedules available M-F in the 6 am - 10 am time frame. Pay starting at $11.43 per hour.

Qualifications and Skills

Depending on the exact position, a High School Diploma/GED is preferred or required. Most of these are entry-level positions with no experience required. However, some do require one year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population. Must be 18 years old or older, have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience, and a good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served. Two weeks paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive benefits & tuition reimbursement offered.
