While walk-ins are welcome, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply before the day of the Job Fair! Applying in advance will allow us to make better use of your time on the day of the Job Fair. We may even call you before then for a phone interview and have you come in before Job Fair day if time permits! We always have computers available onsite to apply online (M-F 9 am - 3 PM), and also accept paper applications.

Position Description:

These Floater positions are direct care career opportunities that provide support to individuals with disabilities to live/work as independently as possible in a variety of settings, by assisting them in developing new skills to reach their goals. We have openings: in our Adult Residential Programs, that include openings for CNA Floaters; Behavioral Associate Floaters, and more!

These are FT positions require the ability to work flexible hours. May work holidays, weekends, days, evenings and overnights (awake or sleep). Schedules are posted one week in advance but are subject to change. Pay for these positions are $12.61/hr after completing training during awake hours and $10.10/hr for initial training and sleep hours. Pay increases to $13.66/hr after completion of approx. 90 days when all expectations are met.

Requirements:

A High School Diploma/GED is required, along with one year of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or a similar population is required. Those interested in being a CNA Floater would need to have current CNA certification in the State of Maryland. Position also requires someone who is 18 years old or older, who has a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, pre-employment screenings including drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure person's served health and safety. 2 wks. paid specialized training (Held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive benefits & tuition reimbursement offered.
