We are having two Hiring Events in May, 5/16/19 & 5/21/19, from 9:00 am - 3:pm at our offices on 820 Florida Ave, Hagerstown, MD! If  you are  not available to attend our Hiring Events we will schedule another day for you to come in! People who  are offered a position during these events will be able to start with our next New Hire Class, on June 3, 2019. If you are not able to start at that time, there is another New Hire Classes on June 24, 2019.

Supervisor interviews will be conducted on the spot for everyone who qualifies!  Please complete our initial 3 minute application for this position or just drop in sometime during the event. For those who do apply in advance there may be time to conduct a phone interview before the event to make better use of your time the day of the event. If you are not able to apply in advance please bring a resume with you that includes employment history for the last 10 years (if you have that much history) and dates of employment. Description:

This program provides services to more than 50 children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 21 who have Autism or mental health issues. The program is designed to integrate the individual into the community by facilitating the development of critical skills relative to independent living, social, self-care, communication and work.

These are Part Time positions 20 29 hours per week with work schedules Sun through Sat - variable day, afternoon, and evening hours. Pay rate of $11.43 per hour. However, this is a rapidly expending program so Full Time positions should be available in the future. Work locations are available in the Hagerstown, and Frederick MD areas.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required. This entry-level position requires a minimum of 30 calendar days experience working with autism or related disorder and one year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population is preferred.  Must also be 21 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, pre-employ. screenings including drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety. 2 wks. paid specialized training (Held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive benefits & tuition reimbursement offered.
