While our official "Supervisor Interview Day" in April will still be held on Thursdays, we have supervisors available every day of the week to interview if you can't come in then! Right now we are gearing up to hire even more staff for our May 13, 2019 new hire class. We need 35 new staff to fill various openings at The Arc!

Description:

The role of the Vocational Floater is to support individuals with disabilities, in a variety of settings, to live/work as independently as possible, reach their personal goals, develop skills and become members of their chosen communities within the Vocational Day Program. Types of support may include, but are not limited to: support in community settings, job coaching and training, job readiness, personal care, support with health and wellness, support to reach outcomes and goals and other meaningful activities. This position works as a part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of individuals served. This position pays $11.43 per hour, with a work schedule of M-F 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Requirements:

This entry-level position requires no experience, although one year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Must also be 18 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history. The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, pre-employment screenings including drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety. 2 wks. paid specialized training (Held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive benefits & tuition reimbursement offered.
