We still need more new staff to meet our hiring goal of 50 new staff in the month of June! Our Next Hiring Event will be 5/30/19, from 9:00 am - 3:pm at our offices on 820 Florida Ave, Hagerstown, MD! If  you are  not available to attend our Hiring Events we will schedule another day for you to come in! People who  are offered a position during this event, who want to start working right away, will be able to start on June 5, 2019. If you are not able to start at that time, there is another New Hire Classes on June 24, 2019.  We conduct New Hire Classes every three weeks.

Supervisor interviews will be conducted on the spot for everyone who qualifies!  Please complete our initial 3 minute application for this position or just drop in sometime during the event. For those who do apply in advance there may be time to conduct a phone interview before the event to make better use of your time the day of the event. If you are not able to apply in advance please bring a resume with you that includes employment history for the last 10 years (if you have that much history) and dates of employment. Job Summary

These direct care positions are in our Adult Residential program and support individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. The people supported in these departments may also have behavioral and psychological issues; therefore prior experience is preferred. This position works as part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of the people supported.

A variety of full time and part time work schedules are available, for 2nd or 3rd shifts, which could include Mon - Fri and weekend hours. These positions have a pay range of $11.56 - $12.61 per hour.

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma/GED required. Previous experience supporting people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and behavioral and psychological issues preferred. Must also be 18 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, and pre-employment physical and drug screenings. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and to implement proper restraint techniques to ensure person's served health and safety. Two weeks of paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm), competitive pay & benefits. Tuition reimbursement offered.
