We want to start off the new year with a bang and hire 50 new staff in the month of January 2020 to fill various openings! Our Next Hiring Event will be December 10, 2019 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, at our offices on 820 Florida Ave, Hagerstown, MD! People who  are offered a position during this event, will be able to start as early as January 6, 2020.  If you can't start then, our next class just a short two weeks away beginning January 20, 2020.

Job Summary

These direct care positions are in our Adult Residential program and support individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. The people supported in these departments may also have behavioral and psychological issues; therefore prior experience is preferred. This position works as part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of the people supported.

A variety of full time and part time work schedules are available, for 2nd or 3rd shifts, which could include Mon - Fri and weekend hours. These positions have a pay range of $12.00 - $12.61 per hour.

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma/GED required. Previous experience supporting people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and behavioral and psychological issues preferred. Must also be 18 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate must be able to attend our two weeks and three days of paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm). Applicants also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. Position requires lifting and transferring (at least 50 pounds), and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served.
