We only have 2 openings left to fill before the end of the year! Our Next Hiring Event will be November 19, 2019, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, at our offices on 820 Florida Ave, Hagerstown, MD! People who  are offered a position during this event, will be able to start as early as December 9, 2019 and this training will be over before Christmas! If you can't start then, our next class begins January 6, 2020.

Description:

This program provides services to more than 50 children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 21 who have Autism or mental health issues. The program is designed to integrate the individual into the community by facilitating the development of critical skills relative to independent living, social, self-care, communication and work.

These are Part Time positions 20 - 29 hours per week with work schedules Sun through Sat - variable day, afternoon, and evening hours. Pay rate of $12.00 per hour. Be able to work evenings and weekends is  a must! This is a rapidly expending program so Full Time positions could be available in the future. Work locations are available in the Frederick MD area.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required. This entry-level position requires a minimum of 30 calendar days experience working with autism or related disorder and one year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population is preferred.  Must also be 21 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate must be able to attend our two weeks and three days of paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm). Applicants also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. Position requires lifting and transferring (at least 50 pounds), and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served.
