The role of Program Coordinator is to serve as a hands-on team member providing programmatic scheduling and monitoring for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The Program Coordinator must be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently and monitor programs consistent with the standards set forth by DDA and MD State Dept. of Education (Autism Waiver) regulations.

This is a Full-Time hourly position with a salary range minimum of $12.84 per hour. Work hours require flexible Day, Evening, and Weekend availability. It is anticipated that the candidate selected will work approximately 15 hours per week in this position and 25 hours per week as a Direct Support Professional in the Children's Program.


This position requires an AA degree plus one (1) year direct care or supervisory experience OR High School diploma and two years direct care or supervisory experience.  The successful candidate must be at least 21 years old or older, have a valid driver's license, along with two (2) years of driving experience.  Position requires lifting (least 50 pounds), transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and the ability to implement positive behavior principles and strategies including proper restraint techniques to ensure safety of person served.

The successful candidate will need to have experience with using Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and be able to attend our paid specialized training (held M-F 8:30 am 5:00 pm) during the first several weeks of employment. Applicants also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test.
